As a mom who used keto to take back her life and get out of survival, keto is so much more than weight loss.

The ketogenic diet has taken the world by storm, often hailed as a miracle for weight loss. But there’s much more to keto than shedding pounds.


As a mom who is so grateful for the benefits keto has brought into my life, I know I need to share and help other women understand how good can be for them too!

What is Ketosis?


The ketogenic diet is a low-carb, high-fat diet that shifts your body’s metabolism from burning carbohydrates to burning fats. This process, called ketosis, turns fat into ketones, which provide energy. It's not just another fad diet; it's a transformative way to fuel your body.




Mental Health Benefits:


One of the most profound benefits of keto is its impact on mental health. Research indicates that a ketogenic diet can improve mental clarity, reduce anxiety, and stabilize mood. Many people report feeling a sense of mental clarity and emotional stability on keto. This isn’t just anecdotal; scientific studies support these claims, showing that ketones have neuroprotective properties that support brain health.


Studies have shown that keto is supportive of many mental health conditions from bipolar to ADHD and depression. When I was learning this in school, I was in a place mentally where I was struggling to be the mom and person I wanted to be.


I learned the impact nutrition had on mental health, and so I decided it was time to come back to keto.


Personally, I have improved my ADHD symptoms, greatly reduced anxiety, and have way more motivation and confidence too. I am more patient with my kids and less reactive, making me a better mom, as I am able to be calm and compassionate instead of blowing up. Keto has transformed my life!

Increased energy - By maintaining stable blood sugar levels, keto helps prevent energy crashes, leading to increased and sustained energy throughout the day

Better hormone balance and improved cycles - With balanced blood sugar and reduced stress, your hormones get to come back into balance. Which means everything in your body that is attributed to hormones, gets better. From PMS to perimenopause, your body can reduce the symptoms.


Inflammation- Being in ketosis is like having an anti-inflammatory medicine in your body all day every day, which means less pain, better movement, and less stress.


Improvements in your metabolic health markers are undeniable when you do a healthy keto diet.

A1c can go down, blood pressure can normalize without meds, cholesterol can move into healthy ranges, liver health can improve, and the list of things I have seen improve with my clients is incredible.


Keto can revitalize your overall physical health, making you feel more vibrant and alive.





Nutrition and Calories


While keto is about cutting carbs, it’s crucial to maintain a balanced and nutrient-rich diet. Because of its popularity in the weight loss community, many people will drastically reduce calories because in ketosis it’s easy. Your hunger is much easier to manage. But your body needs specific nutrition in order to thrive and feel its best, mentally and physically. Cut calories too low and you do not get to feel your best. You might feel better, but not as good as you could. Making sure you get enough of the right things is essential.
